How many times have you been berated by your parents or reprimanded by your boss? How often have you been told “My generation knows better!” or “I have more experience?” But at the same time, we think – “NO! in fact me and my peers know way better than you, dinosaur!”
Understanding how different generations think and behave can be fundamental to bring some stability and harmony in your working place and home. Getting clear on intergenerational differences in values can be truly unifying.
We generally talk of a different generation every 30 years. In the workplace, due to rapid change and new habits, this is the first time in modern history we have five generations working side-by-side.
